Documents Required for the Active Duty Military Application
These are required documents for this property. Please review the list as you are preparing to submit your application.
STEP 1: Gather the Documents Needed for Your Application
- All applicants must provide proof of Assignment Date with one of the following:
- Orders
- RIP
- Memo
- All applicants must present a current Leave Earning Statement (LES) to confirm current rank.
- If all dependents (spouse/kids) are not listed on orders, you must provide a DD1172. All individuals over 18 are required to be enrolled in DEERS or listed on orders.
- *If all dependents are listed on your orders, no additional documents are needed.
- If you have pets, you must provide all of the following:
- Shot records of each pet
- Photo of each pet
- If you are filing the information on behalf of your active-duty spouse, you need a power of attorney (POA).
- If you are dual-military, you must provide orders and most recent LES for both members. One family member must be on another's orders; if not, you will need to provide a marriage certificate or DD1172.
- State-issued Real ID
STEP 2: Complete the HMC Application
After gathering the required documents, complete the HMC application by clicking apply now.
THE APPLICATION PORTAL MAY NOT BE SUPPORTED ON GOVERNMENT COMPUTERS OR MOBILE DEVICES. A NON-GOVERNMENT DESKTOP COMPUTER IS RECOMMENDED FOR A SMOOTHER EXPERIENCE.
Any individual who will be residing in the home must be listed on the application. All individuals overs 18 must be enrolled in DEERS or listed on orders.
STEP 3: MHO Review & Waitlist Placement
Once you have completed the Hunt Military Communities Application, the Military Housing Office (MHO) will review the application to confirm eligibility for military housing. Once your eligibility is confirmed, you will be placed on a waitlist for homes that you qualify for until you are offered a home. You will receive confirmation once you are placed on the waitlist.
STEP 4: Complete Your MHO Referral

To move in, you need to complete a Military Housing Office (MHO) referral. This process requires filling out the necessary forms in person at the office and attending a briefing. Briefings are held every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 11:30 AM. For assistance, you can contact the MHO directly at (325) 654-3498 or by email at 17CES.ceh.housingoffice@us.af.mil. Their office is located at 460 Kearney Blvd, Goodfellow AFB, TX 76908.
Documents needed for the MHO application:
- PCS orders with names of dependents.
- If your dependents are not listed on those orders, you must provide DEERS documentation.
You will need to complete the following forms prior to your briefing, which are available at the Military Housing Office:
- AF Form 4422: Sex Offender Disclosure and Acknowledgment Form
- DD1746: Application for Assignment to Housing
- MHO Brief Form
Documents Required for the All Other Applicants
These are required documents for this property. Please review the list as you are preparing to submit your application.
STEP 1: Gather the Documents Needed for Your Application
- All applicants must show proof of income through a pay stub showing a full month's income equal to at least 3x the market rent (not reduced or promotional rent). If applicable, the monthly rent qualifier for a guarantor is 5x the market rent. Please note that an income qualifier is based on gross monthly income (excluding commissions, tips, or child support).
- If military affiliated, proof of Military/DoD affiliation is required.
- If you have pets, you must provide all of the following:
- Shot records of each pet
- Photo of each pet
- A state-issued ID for every person in the household who is 18 or older.
STEP 2: Complete the HMC Application
After gathering the required documents, complete the HMC application by clicking apply now.
- Download, review, and sign the screening authorization for credit and criminal screening. It must be signed by all parties over the age of 18 and submitted in your application.
- Download and review the application rental criteria. Enter your name and email address in the designated fields to access the application portal. You will need to upload this document in your application.
Any individual over the age of 18 who will be residing in the home must submit an application and note on the application with whom they will be residing.
